WedFest DXB is a bridal event in Dubai, billed as The Bridal Evening Every Bride Deserves. The organisers needed a website that could sell the event to two audiences at once: brides deciding whether to attend, and sponsors deciding whether to put their brand behind it.
The challenge
An event site has a hard deadline and a short shelf life, so the build had to be quick and the priorities had to be ruthless. Brides needed the essentials without digging: what the evening is and why to be there. Sponsors needed more than a logo strip; each partner needed a page of its own to point their audience at. Enquiries had to reach the organisers reliably. And a Dubai event should live on a UAE domain, not a .com hosted nowhere in particular.
What we built
A Next.js site on wedfest.ae, fast and mobile-first, structured around those two audiences. Brides land on the event story. Sponsors get dedicated landing pages, each with its own URL that partners can share and link to from their own channels. Resend handles the site's email, so enquiries arrive where the organisers actually read them.
We kept the build deliberately lean. An event site does not need a heavyweight CMS or a six-month roadmap. It needs to be live, quick and correct, with every page doing one job.
Stack: Next.js, Resend, deployed on the .ae domain
Outcome
The site is live at wedfest.ae. Sponsors have pages they can put in front of their own audiences, brides get the pitch for the evening straight away, and enquiries flow through Resend to the organisers.
This project matters to us beyond the build. We split our time between Manchester and Dubai, and Proctor Hounds exists to do exactly this kind of work: UAE businesses, UAE domains, delivered from Dubai. WedFest DXB is local proof, on a .ae address, that we build here.
