I'm Dan Proctor. I've spent more than 10 years building digital products for a living: over 100 projects, from WordPress sites in Manchester to AI systems running in production inside real businesses. Proctor Hounds is where that experience works now, building secure automation for businesses in the UAE.
I split my time between Manchester and Dubai with my wife Amber and our two dogs, who are the hounds in Proctor Hounds. They contribute nothing and approve everything.

2015
The Northern Web, Manchester
I started my first business building websites for Manchester firms. No funding, no team, just work that had to be good enough that clients came back. It was, and they did.
The WordPress years
Learning what businesses actually need
Site after site taught me the same lesson: businesses don't want a website, they want customers, time back and fewer headaches. WordPress paid the bills and taught me to understand the business before touching the build.
The modern stack
From decorating pages to building products
Client needs outgrew page builders, so I moved to Next.js, React and Supabase. Faster sites, custom features, proper engineering. The work shifted from making pages look right to making software do a job.
Production AI
Systems that do the work themselves
I started shipping AI systems that run inside real businesses, not demos. For CyPro, a London cybersecurity firm, due diligence went from 4 days to around 3 minutes and blog production from 6 hours to 30 minutes per post, all on their own private infrastructure. That client grew from 3 staff to more than 20 in two years.
Today
Proctor Hounds, Dubai
I launched Proctor Hounds in Dubai to bring that work to UAE businesses. I build every system I recommend myself, no handoffs and no juniors, and your data stays on infrastructure you own.

Straight talk
I tell you what will work and what won't before you spend a dirham. If automation isn't the answer to your problem, I'll say so and point you at what is.
Prove it
Adjectives are cheap. I measure the process before we automate it and again after, so you see exactly what changed: 4 days to 3 minutes, not 'much faster'.
Results that last, no lock-in
You own the code, the infrastructure and the data. Everything I build keeps working, and keeps belonging to you, whether or not I'm still in the room.
